The Department of Veterans Affairs has career opportunities at all levels throughout the Nation to help Veterans reclaim their independence and their health. Right now, we have more than 2,600 open careers for talented, dedicated and driven individuals in a variety of careers. Let’s take a look by the numbers at a couple of areas with the greatest opportunity.

In our Palo Alto, Calif., facility, there are 46 careers that are available for positions as diverse as Speech-Language Pathologist and Pharmacy Manager to Social Workers and Administrative Officer (SIPS). This system is undergoing an unprecedented expansion of its facilities to help serve more Veterans. Currently, the campus is building a Recreational Therapy Facility and a Polytrauma & Blind Rehabilitation Center, as well as expanding both its Radiology facilities and parking access.

With 40 career openings currently available in our Washington, D.C., facility, we are looking for our Nation’s best professionals for critical positions that will advance your career, like Chief of Staff and Budget Analyst. In the heart of our Nation’s capital, this facility recently celebrated 50 years of service treating thousands of our Veterans from conflicts from the past century.

There are opportunities at hundreds of facilities, including those in smaller cities and rural areas. With approximately 40% of all Veterans living in these areas, these opportunities will give you a chance to make an incredible impact like nowhere else.

I think a lot of well-qualified people are afraid to work at the VETERANS hospitals & clinics, &
the blame for that falls on both, the Administration, and the Veterans! Does anybody remember a guy from Los Angeles that got the crap beat out of him by the cops? I am going to borrow the words of Rodney King, & hope at least a few hundred veterans AND VA employees will hear, really HEAR his words: CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
Face it – we veterans need them to take care of us, & they need us in order to keep their jobs!
The gov’t doesn’t want to shut down OUR facilities; just think what that would do to their precious unemployment figures! The employees don’t want to be unemployed, & this disabled American veteran wants the gov’t to keep its word, & take care of those of us that have kept our word to this great country! One more time; Can’t we all just get along!
