As America’s largest solar power provider, SolarCity is looking for “trailblazers to lead the clean energy revolution.” Those trailblazers, in many cases, are Veterans.
“Here at SolarCity, they understand, like many of the best companies, that hiring Veterans is a good investment,” VA secretary Bob McDonald said today while visiting SolarCity. “Of the more than 12,000 employees SolarCity has nationwide, almost 1,000 of them are Veterans.”

The Clean Power Plan announced Monday is designed to combat climate change and create more jobs such as those at SolarCity.
“The Clean Power Plan will drive significant new investment in cleaner, more modern and more efficient technologies – like solar technologies – creating tens of thousands of jobs nationwide,” Secretary McDonald noted.
As these jobs are created, McDonald said it’s important for employers to look for employees with character, team-building skills and discipline …Veterans.
“Those traits don’t stop when we take off the uniform. They transfer into the workplace and help their businesses grow and succeed,” McDonald said.
