VA recently partnered with Blue Star Families and Hiring Our Heroes for a Twitter chat about VA employment benefits, using the hashtag #ExploreVA. The chat addressed frequently asked questions regarding VA programs and resources available to help Veterans start or advance their post-military careers. VA also directly addressed Veterans’ questions and helped direct them to resources they were looking for.
Here are some of the top questions from the chat and their answers:
What programs and benefits does VA offer to help Veterans with their post-military careers?
What resources are available for Veterans struggling to start their post-military careers?
Where can Veterans with service-connected disabilities learn more about the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program?
Are there any benefits available to family members caring for a service-disabled Vet?
Experts from VA also answered questions from Veterans in attendance and directed them to other helpful VA employment resources:
