Would you like a job that literally puts you at the vortex of today’s medicine? As a medical center director with VHA, you’ll collaborate with fellow clinical and executive leaders across all areas of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Your goal is clear, but challenging: to find innovative and creative ways to improve the experience of every Veteran who walks through our doors. To give every Veteran the best care possible, you’ll manage the operations to ensure that your institution lives up to the best practices set by VA.
In your efforts, you’ll be backed by leaders who put Veterans first, and who understand the meaning of patient-centered health care services. With that commitment, we have identified the need to enhance our health care leadership team across the Nation. That means you.
Your responsibilities will be extensive. Our medical center directors – also called medical and health services managers, health care executives or health care administrators – plan, direct and coordinate a broad range of medical and health services. You may manage an entire facility, a specific clinical area or department, or a medical practice for a group of physicians. Medical and health services managers direct changes that help their facilities comply with modifications in health care laws, regulations and technology, designed to improve service.
Be sure to review both opportunities and select the one most suited to your background and experience.
We strive to provide excellent customer service and care to our Veteran patients even as the number of patients we serve continues to grow. If you think you can help us accomplish that goal, or know someone who can, take this opportunity to look into these senior executive positions.
