Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Air Force Veteran William “Bill” Romanelli.
As a medical technologist, Bill was in charge of all military funeral details within a 75-mile radius of Griffiss AFB in Rome, New York. He was also stationed at Lakeland AFB, Carswell AFB. Bill is also a Vietnam Veteran.
After 43 years of a successful career in Laboratory Medicine, Bill is enjoying retirement.
He volunteered in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 6 years and was responsible for teaching boat safety courses at a community college near Wilmington, NC. He also volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem for a couple of years.
Bill and his wife, Jenny, traveled around the country for 6 months visiting many State and National Parks. Bill loves sailing, working in his garden, photography and reading.
Bill and Jenny live in the mountains in Fairview, NC. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
