Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy and Marine Corps Veteran Matthew David Sejuit. Matthew served from 2001 to 2007 as Navy corpsman in the 2nd Marine Division. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom twice. Matthew received a number of awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation (Navy), Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation and he earned Qualified Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist.
After leaving the service, Matthew obtained an associate’s and bachelor’s degree, and earned his master’s degree in social work in 2012. Currently, he is a licensed independent social worker in South Carolina. He works at the Dorn VA Hospital in acute care, in addition to being a professor at Limestone College.
Matthew is a proud alumnus of the Theta Psi Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and the Pi Chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity.
