Nurse Practitioners play integral roles within VA. The compassionate care they provide day in and day out is setting a new standard for Veteran care. VA Nurses have the unique opportunity to improve Veterans’ lives while advancing their professional career. Along with the rewarding work of giving back to our deserving Veteran population, being a VA employee also makes you part of the largest, most technologically advanced health care system in the United States. You’ll also receive robust benefits, like competitive salaries, generous vacation time, flexible schedules, tuition reimbursement, extensive educational programs and an array of retirement planning options.

As a Nurse Practitioner with VA, you have so many options to expand your skill sets, and the autonomy to choose your own path. Also, VA has amended its medical regulations to increase Veterans’ access to care by expanding the pool of qualified Nurses with full practice authority. From primary to specialty care, we have opportunities available in the following areas:

  • Acute Care
  • Behavioral Health
  • Cardiology
  • Critical Care
  • Geriatrics
  • Hospice Care
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Mental Health

As one of the country’s largest research organizations, we offer our Nurses several funded research opportunities to help shape the future of Veteran care. And because we have facilities in all 50 states, you can work at any VA institution – from city to countryside – without losing any benefits, vacation accrual, or your current salary rate.

To help you further advance your career, we provide exceptional continuing-education programs for training and leadership development, including:

  • The Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)
  • The Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • The Employee Incentive Scholarship Program
  • The Upward Mobility Training Programs

I got this in my monthly online posting of “This Week at the VA”. I know of someone who might be interested in the program but I do not see any way to forward it to an individual other than by sharing it on a social media page. There should be a way to forward this via email by simply entering the person’s email address.
