Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Corps Veteran Edmond “Eddie” Mahseet. Eddie served from August 1964 to September 1968.
Eddie completed boot camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot in San Diego, California and individual training regiment at Camp Pendleton, California. He served as a radio operator. Eddie served two tours in Vietnam with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines and the 1st Battalion 27th Marines.
Eddie was the second Comanche tribe member to arrive in Vietnam in June 1965 with the Dagger Thrust operation that was part of the newly reformed elite Marine Raiders. In Panama, he completed the Army Special Forces Jungle Warfare School.
Eddie is one of 27 Comanche Veterans to earn the honorary title of Numu Putuski.
Thank you for your service, Eddie!
