#VeteranOfTheDay Army Veteran Jayme A. Bad Warrior Sr.


Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Jayme A. Bad Warrior Sr. Jayme served from 1996 to 2008.

Jayme was deployed twice for Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of the 1st Infantry Division. During that time he rose to the rank of staff sergeant with an occupational specialty in field artillery.

Jayme said some of his memorable moments include working on joint operation missions with Japanese security forces and being a member of the Fort Drum Army 10-Miler team.

For his service, Jayme was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal with V device.

Jayme hails from Eagle Butte, South Dakota and is proud of his heritage as a Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux. He is also especially proud to be part of a family consisting of other Veterans and active service members.
