Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center officially opened its doors to Veterans on Saturday, July 21. It was an historic day, as this new facility has been a labor of love for many and the team was excited to see it reach fruition.

At 1.2 million square feet, the Rocky Mountain facility is nearly double the size of the Denver VA facility it will eventually replace and offers a lot more to Veterans by way of new and innovative care options.

The new campus has leading-edge technology built into every aspect, bringing Veterans in the region an unprecedented quality of health care. In fact, the guiding principles for the Rocky Mountain campus are patient safety; protecting the environment through the use of green design; promoting the family’s role in care delivery with private rooms and en-suite bathrooms to encourage visitation; and improving on the overall health care experience for Veterans.

One of the most innovative features on the new campus is the Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders Unit—a 30-bed facility that is praised as being one of the most advanced spinal cord centers in the nation. After it opens in the Spring, it truly will be a beacon for Veterans across the country, providing a level of specialty care that patients previously had to travel hundreds of miles to receive.

With its future-forward approach to health care and technology, Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center is soon to become a destination for Veterans seeking care.

We work diligently to bring Veterans a level of care unmatched by the private sector—it is our way of giving back to those who have served. If you would like to join us, then consider a uniquely fulfilling career with VA. Explore our open opportunities and apply today.
