All Veterans deserve a place to call home. If you, or a Veteran you know, are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, VA can connect you to safe housing.

Learn more about available supports and programs VA offers to help end Veteran homelessness during the #ExploreVA Facebook Live event with VA and Vietnam Veterans of America on Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. EST.

Representatives will answer questions and provide resources in the comments section following the video.

Register and learn more on our event page.

This event is part of the “#ExploreVA: From Service to Success” online series highlighting how Veterans and their families use VA benefits and services. These benefits help Veterans earn degrees, start careers, buy homes, stay healthy and more. Visit for information on events, resources and how to apply for VA benefits.

Homeless veterans want plain-old regular housing, not “SAFE” housing which is prison-like, without any privacy, and mandates the veterans to follow thousands of rules, restrictions, and stipulations that guarantees they will end up right back on the streets more desperate than ever before.

Homeless veterans need to be ASKED what their needs are and those needs respected, not TOLD what their needs are and then mandated by threats.

This article is nothing but a fairytale the VA could care less about homeless veterans yeah go ahead and try it walk into your nearest VA facility here’s the first question they will ask have you tried your church can you get help from your family do you have any friends that you can stay at and after all that you will get this answer we’re sorry you don’t qualify or we have already reached or Max Capacity of applications for the month give me a break the VA could care less about veterans they want you to die off so they will not have to pay your benefits that’s why the health care at the VA is garbage they give you the minimal amount of care and then make you wait months to be seen again hoping you will die off so they can pay their $300 benefit for burial or whatever the only people happy with the VA or the bigwigs making the big bucks working for the veterans administration and probably 95% have never served in the military go to hell VA I’ll never use you again

Thanks for your honesty. I hope this gets read by many and things slowly start to improve. It’s just not right and I am sad & sorry the system has failed our vets.
