With the dedication of a new 239,000-square-foot building, Fort Worth, Texas now has the largest VA outpatient clinic in the country.

If you’ve seen the current benefits handbook for Vets, you know there’s a lot of information that isn’t terribly easy to sift through. Now, VA is launching a pilot program to produce personalized health benefits handbooks. These will be tailored to your service, your location, and more.

Say you’re in a rural area and driving a hundred miles to see your doctor is a hassle. Or you need to see a specialist who’s at another hospital. Now, many VA physicians can conduct video evaluations over a computer–much like you’d talk to someone face-to-face using Skype or Yahoo Messenger. It’s called “telehealth.”

The Puerto Rico outpatient clinic is expanding.

    Stall tactics, and red tape equals frustration which prompts the question, to be or not to be? I am a religious man so I choose to be.

    If a veteran has an assigned claim number, that means he should already be registered into “The System”. There shouldn’t be any need to have to go to a Regional Office in person to prove who you are a second time. Is this just another stall tactic to deprive the veterans of knowing the status of their claim?

    I have been told after trying to activate an ebenifits premium account that I would have to go to my RO to sign up for this. My RO is 180 miles from my home. This is a bunch of crap. Why can’t you sign up on-line.

    The #1 item most requested by our deployed men and women in the armed services is a handwritten letter of support. Know of a deployed military member in harms’ way? If not, sign onto http://www.anysoldier.com and find an individual, unit, squadron, etc to support while they are deployed. Thank you for your service and Happy Thanksgiving!

    My car shop gives me estimates on cost and time required to fix the car.Why doe the VA refuse to even try giving vets estimates( example: when can I expect my first check? Why must we be left so long in the dark? I believe you have the statistics we want, why won’t you release them?
