National nonprofit American Corporate Partners (ACP) works with post-9/11 Veterans to help them find meaningful employment after military service. In ACP’s most recent study of participants in its one year mentorship program, the average starting salary for Veterans who utilized ACP was more than $86,000, and importantly, more than 86% of Veterans are still at their same company one year later. The program not only helps Veterans find great jobs, but the right jobs for them.

ACP’s roster of mentors is unmatched – senior executives from hundreds of America’s top companies provide volunteer mentors to ACP. All industries and career paths are represented and Veterans are able to explore career opportunities, learn about job search tips and tricks, gain resume and interviewing skills, and get connected directly to employers who are hiring.

Veteran Denis Orellana

Veteran Denis Orellana completed the ACP program after serving 20 years in the Army and secured his dream job as an Operations Manager at Amazon.

More than 21,000 veterans have found success by working with ACP. One example is Master Sergeant Denis Orellana, who applied to the ACP program after 20 years in the U.S. Army. He knew he wanted a career in Operations, Logistics, or Project Management, but wasn’t sure exactly how to get there. His ADT Commercial Mentor, Tim, helped give Denis insight into his day-to-day duties as an Operations Manager. The pair also worked on Denis’ resume and interview skills. Denis felt more than prepared to go after the job he had been hoping for, and he recently secured his dream job as an Operations Manager at Amazon.

I served honorably from 1996 to 2000, does this mean I don’t qualify?

Is there any chance to find work overseas? I am wanting to go to Thailand. I am a Navy veteran.

At the level of policy, can’t you realize what you are asking. I am sorry for your loss, but how can we obtain a perfect world? Move on!

Why only veterans after 9/11?! I served before 9/11.

“All post-9/11 Veterans who have served at least 180 days of active duty since 9/11 are eligible”
    Are veteran’s/retirees pre-9/11 eligible? US Army 1969 to 1989. I think I’m still useful.

I am a pre-9/11 veteran that never had the opportunity (due to geographical location) to use my Montgomery-era GI Bill. Why are some of the best programs offered through the VA for post-9/11 vets only? This is nonsensical. There are millions of us that sacrificed and served, yet get left out of stuff such as this program.

I am a veteran who is looking for employment in the supply logistic/information technology career field. I have been trying to find a federal telework/remote position. I have applied through several websites that states they help veterans. Do you help veterans with telework positions in the federal government?

I am a Vietnam War enlistee who served in the USAF from Arizona April 1965 to April 1969. I had been a Real Estate Appraiser since 1981, then licensed as a Certified General Appraiser when the States and Nation started certifications in 1991. I went Inactive on Aug. 31, 2018, but was not previously advised prior to my expiration date, of Arizona Revised Statute 32-3627 as I should have been before my certification was to expired. As a certificate holder I should have been properly informed that I was able to request that the certificate be placed on ‘Inactive Status’ by “filing with the Superintendent an application that included “my certificate holder’s name, my certificate number, and request for inactive status.”
All of that had never been explained to me, or I would have filed prior to August 30, 2018 while I was still certified, by law I would have had 2 years, from 8-30-2018 to 8-30-2020, in order to file a request. No notice was ever provided to me, and I requested to become reactivated on June 8, 2020 with 83 days left in that 2-years to notice. I realize now that over that period of time many changes were occurring at the Appraisal Section, and notices may not have been disseminated in a timely manner as they should have been. I am appealing for a chance to rectify that situation in order to resolve my current certification, but getting some resistance from the now State Dept. of Insurance & Financial Institutions (ADFI) who now controls Appraiser certifications. As a Veteran, can you help with this?

You need to ask how many continue education credits are needed to receive an active license/certification. A Navy DAV, RE Appraiser in MA.

Feel free to tell them about THE Displaced American who has graduated from the VRAP program, and has 30 years experience in software development, systems analyst and project manager who is currently living in his garage because most of these organizations use non-immigrant guest workers on H-1B visas rather than Americans and Veterans

Is this only for post-9/11 Veterans? I served honorably in the Army from 11/83 – 7/87, but would like to apply to be assisted finding employment as I am 56 years old with over thirty years in IT and agree that it’s tough to compete against those being hired by companies in IT instead of American Veterans.

Hello, I’m an employer. Is this program only for Fortune 500 companies and for jobs with an average salary of $86,000?
I’m not a Fortune 500 company with $86,000 average jobs but I do own a small business that needs tradespeople (Electricians). Do you have another program for these type jobs? I have worked with ESGR in the past.
    Thank you,
    Steven Richard
