The Wellness Wednesday Financial Education series returns on Nov. 17 to talk about taxes. The series focuses on a different aspect of financial literacy on the third Wednesday of each month. For this month’s event, there are three, hour-long sessions at noon, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern (9 a.m., noon and 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time).
“These financial education seminars are an important service available to Veterans, offering sound financial advice,” said Wayshak Hill, VA’s Program Analyst for the Wellness Wednesday Financial Education program. “Understanding finances is important to living a happy and healthy post-service life.”
A recent homebuying and selling seminar covered topics like deciding whether buying a home is right for you, choosing and obtaining a mortgage and what to do when you are ready to sell.
All Wellness Wednesday Financial Education seminars are conducted live, free of charge and offer the opportunity to ask questions of a qualified financial counselor.
In the next seminar on Nov. 17, viewers will learn about ordinary income taxes, payroll taxes, and estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
